Un nuevo año ha empezado, un nuevo año que llega con nuevas oportunidades, sueños, desafíos, aprendizajes, sorpresas, y mucho más.
El nuevo año se ha presentado hasta ahora para mí con un par de cosas inesperadas, como ustedes saben en los últimos meses mis planes han apuntado a hacer un viaje de misiones a África, un viaje en el cual debería estar participando en este preciso momento mientras escribo este post, ya que estaba planeado para enero del 2023, pero bueno, finalmente por razones varias no se pudo concretar este viaje para mí y me encuentro aquí en Ecuador ahora, pero me alegra el saber que hay un grupo de jóvenes que sí pudieron lograrlo y que se encuentran hoy encaminándose hacia África para un tiempo de misiones y servicio en este hermoso continente.
Si bien el viaje a África no pudo concretarse para mí, en medio de estos cambios con los cuales cerré el año anterior y he empezado este nuevo año, tengo una muy buena noticia que compartirles, y es que se abrió una nueva oportunidad para poder hacer un viaje de misiones con Adventures in Missions, y si bien ya no será África, estoy confiando en que Dios sigue estando en control de todo en esta situación, Sus planes de bien para mi vida siguen en marcha, y Él está guiando mi vida en estos momentos.
Y bueno sin más rodeos, me alegra comunicarles que el nuevo destino de mi viaje de misiones será aquí mismo en mi linda Latinoamérica, en el país de Guatemala. El viaje tendrá una duración de dos meses aproximadamente y se llevará a cabo en el mes de junio. Entre los enfoques ministeriales de este viaje se encuentran: Ayuda y Desarrollo Comunitario, Ministerio de Niños, entre otros.
Adventures in Missions cuenta con una de sus bases internacionales en Guatemala, en este país ellos trabajan constantemente para levantar y empoderar a una nueva generación de seguidores de Jesús y servidores del Reino de Dios. La misión de Adventures in Missions en este país se resume en tres palabras: Servir, Discipular y Enviar. Adventures busca empoderar a la comunidad local a través del desarrollo comunitario al satisfacer necesidades físicas, así como también crear oportunidades de discipulado y, en última instancia, enviar guatemaltecos a las naciones. En un país con un alto índice de desnutrición, satisfacer las necesidades físicas sigue siendo una parte importante del ministerio.
Y es así que hoy me encuentro avanzando hacia un viaje de misiones a Guatemala con The World Race, ministerio de Adventures in Missions. Si bien, a veces hay cosas que no entiendo en el camino, u obstáculos que se presentan, he decidido seguir confiando en Dios y seguir avanzando, y en los momentos cuando siento que es difícil seguir confiando o avanzando, doy gracias a Dios por Su gracia, amor, fidelidad y ayuda en todo tiempo, que me levantan y me ayudan a seguir confiando en Él y avanzando en esta aventura de fe junto a Él.
¡Nuestro Dios es siempre Bueno, Fiel, y Digno de nuestra confianza entera sin dudas!

A new year has come, a new year that comes with new opportunities, dreams, challenges, learning, surprises, and so much more.
So far this new year has come for me with a couple of unexpected things, as you know in the last few months I’ve been planning to go on a mission trip to Africa, a trip in which I should be participating at this very moment while I’m writing this post, but in the end for some reasons I couldn’t make it and here I am in Ecuador, but even when I couldn’t go I’m happy to know that there is a group who made it and they’re getting ready right now to depart to Africa to serve in this beautiful continent.
Although the trip to Africa was something I couldn’t make in the end, in the midst of these changes I have very good news to share with you today: A new mission trip opportunity has opened up for me with Adventures in Missions! And even though I’m no longer going to Africa I’m trusting that God is still in control in this whole situation, He still has good plans for me, and He is guiding my life at this very moment.
Having said that, without further ado, I’m happy to share that the new destination of my mission trip will be right here in my beautiful Latin America, in the country of Guatemala. The trip will last approximately two months and it will take place in June. Among the ministry focuses of this trip are: Community Outreach and Development, Children’s Ministry, and others.
Adventures in Missions has one of its international bases in Guatemala, in this country they constantly work to raise up and empower a new generation of Jesus followers and God’s Kingdom servants. In Guatemala Adventures in Missions focuses on these three principles: Serve, Disciple and Send. Adventures seeks to empower the local community through community development by meeting physical needs, as well as creating discipleship opportunities and ultimately sending Guatemalans to the nations. In a country with a high rate of malnutrition, meeting physical needs remains an important part of the ministry.
So today I find myself moving forward to a mission trip to Guatemala with The World Race, a ministry of Adventures in Missions. Sometimes there are things I don’t understand along the way or obstacles that arise, but I’ve decided to continue trusting God and keep moving forward on this, and in moments when I feel that it is difficult to keep trusting or moving forward, thank God for His amazing grace, love, faithfulness and help that comes to me in every moment, which lift me up and help me to keep trusting Him and moving forward.
Our God is always Good, Faithful, and so Worthy of our trust!
